Field & Stream Enters Hospitality With Its First-Ever Lodge in Bozeman, Montana

The legendary outdoor brand Field & Stream has officially stepped beyond gear and apparel with the opening of its first hotel, Field & Stream Bozeman, welcoming guests as of May 15. Located just outside downtown Bozeman, Montana, the new lodge places travelers at the doorstep of Big Sky Country’s most iconic outdoor adventures.

Developed under the brand’s new hospitality venture, Field & Stream Lodge Co., the expansive property blends classic lodge-inspired design with modern comforts. The resort features 179 guest rooms and suites, an indoor swimming pool, and a striking 29,000-square-foot outdoor gathering space known as The Backyard—complete with canoe-shaped firepits, canvas umbrellas, a hot tub, and communal picnic tables.

A Classic Lodge Feel With Modern Touches

Inside, the lodge channels the charm of a vintage hunting and fishing retreat. Guests are welcomed by wood-paneled walls, plaid carpeting, cozy upholstered seating, and distinctive decor such as mounted antlers and an antique canoe suspended from the ceiling. The atmosphere feels both nostalgic and inviting, designed to reflect Field & Stream’s long-standing outdoor heritage.

Accommodations range from Mountain King rooms and Bunk Rooms to connecting family-friendly suites. Each room is thoughtfully equipped with workspaces, mini refrigerators, wool camp blankets, and select layouts featuring sleeper sofas, making the lodge ideal for solo travelers, families, and groups alike.

According to Bill Cottrill, the lodge’s general manager, the property honors the brand’s history while offering a warm, contemporary hospitality experience. The goal, he notes, is to provide guests with an authentic sense of place that reflects the spirit of Montana.

Designed for Adventure—and Relaxation

Field & Stream Bozeman’s location makes it an ideal base for exploring the region’s outdoor offerings, including hiking and mountain biking trails, fly fishing on the Yellowstone River, and skiing at Bridger Bowl. Yellowstone National Park is also within easy reach.

After a day outdoors, guests can relax in the lodge’s welcoming shared spaces. The Great Room, centered around a dramatic stone fireplace, is perfect for board games, storytelling, or enjoying a local craft beer. The indoor pool area features plaid-upholstered loungers, Adirondack chairs, and playful chandeliers made from vintage snowshoes. Outside, The Backyard invites guests to unwind by the fire or enjoy casual meals under the Montana sky.

Dining and Amenities

Opening in June, the on-site Dry Fly Saloon will serve breakfast and dinner, offering menus inspired by Montana’s regional flavors and culinary traditions. Guests can also browse the Supply Shop, stocked with Field & Stream apparel and essentials.
